Penguins are allways waddling like they don't have knees! I think they have them, but do they use them?!?!

Every birds have knees, since all birds have the same basical bone structure. The problem is that many people can´t realise that knees on birds do not bend backwards. Those are the ankles, and what seems to be the feet is just the tip of their feet (anatomically, of course). Penguins in this way have very short bones in their legs and so they only seem to have feet, however the knees are almost inside the bulk of the body.

Penguins have a different arrangement of joints in the legs than people do. However, penguins do have joints equivalent to our knees - the difference is that these joints are much closer to the hip than they are in humans.

I dont think. Your answer makes me think of the movie The March of the Penguins and the entire movie I dont think I saw them use their knees if they have them.

hahaha, i went through a phase of asking people that when i was in high school. my maths teacher couldn't tell me, i mean, what's that all about? he has a degree in maths but couldn't tell me if penguins have knees!? whatEVER is the world coming to? yeah, so, sorry, i never found out. good luck in your search!
