The Lebanese went across the border and kidnapped and soldier and started lobbing missiles at Israel. What do you think the US would do if a terrorist group in Mexico did the same thing? They wanted to start up trouble because Hezbollah does not care about the Lebanese, they follow orders from Iran. Get real.

Sure. And Israel wishes they would.
Israel has been trying to get the Lebanese government to control Hezbollah for decades. In 2000, Israel pulled out of the buffer zone in southern Lebanon created the last time Hezbollah attacked Israel from Lebanese bases. And Israel politely asked the Lebanese government please make sure that people stopped firing rockets into Israel from Lebanese bases.
Unfortunately, the Lebanese government either didn't want to stop Hezbollah or wasn't able to stop them. Hezbollah controls too much of Lebanon, and is an acknowledged terrorist organization who has declared their intent to wipe Israel off the face of the map.
Lebanon cannot stop Hezbollah from launching attacks against Israel from Lebanese soil. So Israel was left with no choice but to attack Hezbollah directly.
Israel would love the Lebanese government to defend itself. The problem is, the enemy of the Lebanese government is Hezbollah, not Israel. So, if the Lebanese government wants the attacks to stop, all it has to do is stop Hezbollah from launching rockets from Lebanese soil into Israel.
As for ordering people from their homes, what other country anywhere announces where they plan to attack, just to avoid civilian casualties? Israel is not ordering Lebanese civilians to evacuate. Israel is warning Lebanese civilians that it is going to be attacking Hezbollah rocket launchers tomorrow, and please try to stay out of the way because we'd rather not hurt you. Hezbollah are the ones preventing Lebanese civilians from fleeting, because Hezbollah wants civilian body shields.
Lebanon has the absolute right to defend itself. But it's enemy is Hezbollah, not Israel.

A right of self defense is inherent no matter the morality of either party, only civilian law and forcement, so far as I know, has authority to to demand compliance and have the weight of law behind it, and only upon citizens in their jurisdictions.
Indeed, the commentary on Israel, while well within your rights to express, is arguably not needed for your point. It brings an emotional element, but self defense, depending on how it is done, is Lebanon's right even if Israel was full of archangels.

I used to by more symphatethic to the Palestinians but it seems to me that they really dont have an interest in working out a real, long lasting solution to the confilict. They just dont seem interested in peace, period. A quick and irrefutable example of the Palestinians not wanting peace is the fact that they decided to elect the terrorist organization group hamas to form part of the government??? Are you f*&^%ing kidding me? Israel has tried to negotiate a peaceful solution, they have now left Gaza to the Palestinians as an incentive to bring them to the negotiating table but the Palestinians insist in persuing the total destruction of Israel no matter what. Israel is not going anywhere and why would they? The United Nations recognized the stated of Israel in its 1948 resoution withe the blessing of the international community. Israel accepted the partition of the territory and accepted to co-exist witht the palestinians but the Palestinians did not. In short, the Palestinians need to accept Israel and learn to co-exist like civilized peoples do.

Who is Lebanon?
At one point you call him a he, and then an it.
You say NOTHING about castration, talking only jargon about countries in the middle east blowing eath other up, like they've done for centuries, which isn't really news.
All I think I can say to this is that I will almost always support the group of people who are trying to keep themselves from being castrated.
I think.
Oh, and I don't click links. If you want to expound, expound yourself. I also don't approve of your laziness in making unclear questions and expecting me to risk my computer by wandering into unknown blog sites whioch, as has been my experience, may be infested with spyware.

well, other than the fact that you are a total git, the terrorist organization who started lobbing missiles into jewish cities are so incompetent that they havent managed to hit anything they are aiming for, which is the largest concentration of civilians they can get, much less hit a bridge. the day they get a decent missile from iran and the technical expertise to use it, is the day those dirty zionists stop pussy footing around, take the gloves off and kick some azz.

Lebanon has a right to defend its borders. Lebanon has the OBLIGATION to root out terrorists who only want death and destruction. They either wouldn't [condone] or couldn't. Israel is doing it for them. Israel vacated the Gaza strip and forcefully removed its settlers to give land for piece. What did they get? More suicide bombers. I hope Israel kicks serious ***.

interesting question but...
1.ISRAEL is defending it's self. the war is against the hezbollah. they drew first blood by attaking israeli towns with missiles
2. lebanon gave shelter to hezbollah thus makeing it's slef an acomplice
i don't understand why can't they just shake hands and solve their diferences in paceful and democratic ways. sadly,as always, the civilian population is the one who pays the true price of war...

SINCE ISRAEL PULLED OUT OF LEBANON IN 2000, HEZBOLLAH CONTINUED TO COMMIT TERROR ATTACK AGAINST ISRAEL.
SINCE ISRAEL PULLED OUT OF GAZA LAST YEAR,
HAMAS LAUNCHED OVER 1200 ROCKETS INTO ISRAEL.
SINCE LEBANESE GOV. CANNOT CONTROL HEZBOLLAH, ISRAEL IS THE ONE WHO IS DEFENDING HERSELF.
GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.
