you could use the square of the top speed to give fast cars that added edge
you could have an objective measure of desirability, according to marque
you could include perceived reliability
Here's an example:
Figure of Merit = power-to-weight ratio (kW/kg) + (top speed)^2 + desirability
Another example:
Figure of Merit = (1/weight) + (mpg)^2

definetly not,the best car in the world is the 1 that starts first time and gets you to your destination safely,however far the journey,talking from experience,its not something you could gaurantee with a lambo or any other exotica!! Lets live in the real world dude,money cant buy reliability,how do you take your friends to a restaurant,?how do you & your gal get in the back seat,all pretentious crap!!! Julie.x.

If it was, they wouldn't have replaced it.
They introduced the Murcielago because they believed (and I've yet to read a report that says otherwise) that it was better than the Diablo.

You can't really call any car the "best" car but it could be your favorite. My personal favorite is the buggati veyron (it is also the fastest if that is what your asking).
