I was sitting in my office chair when I noticed at break that I had a stain on my pearl white slacks I wasn't sure of what it was so I went to go look at the chair and I realized that there had been some make-up possibly blush or powder on the chair from one of my co-workers. These pants are my favorite so I am in some need of drastic advance if anyone has any tips that would be fantastic...

Don't panic the stain will come out. First take a thick cloth and put it under the stain like inside the pants so it doesn't soak through to the other side. Then you can take some rubbing alchol and cotton ball and gently rub the makeup until you get most of the stain out. Keep doing that till you think it's faded enough. Than take your liquid laundry detergeant and pour some on the area and rub it in or brush it in with an old tooth brush and let stand for about a half hour than throw them in the washer with a little bit of bleach about a 1/3 cup and 1/3 cup of detergeant and wash by themself. When done take a look at the pants and see if the stain is gone....the pants should be good as new. You can throw them in the dryer or I prefer hanging them to dry. Have faith, the stain is no challenge for you. Good luck!

Try Soaking Your Pants In A Mild Detergent,( Rub It In The Spot Where The Stain Is) Then Soak Over Night. It Usually Works. Their Are A lot Of Stain Removal Products Out Their So Be Weary Not All Stain Removal Products Work the Same.

There are several remedies which depend on what type the fabric is. If it's dry clean only, take it to the cleaner, show them the spot, and let them worry about it. If it's a general care item you can: use a small amount of dish detergent on a nail brush, and first scrub the stain from the inside out, then from the right side of the pants. If you need more help, try lemon juice from a real lemon, squeezed on the spot-allow to sit for a minute or three, then repeat the same process. You can also make a paste from 20 mule team borax and a granular color safe bleach. Apply the paste with your fingers, gently scrubbing with your fingernails. Any one of these should work. It may take more than one application to get the stain out entirely. If all else fails find a bar of Fels Naptha Soap, and use that on the spot. Fels Naptha will take out just about anything, and not damage the material. Good Luck.

There are two types of makeup--oily and non-oily. Non-oily makeup stains come from eye shadows, blush and powdered makeup. Oily makeup products include mascara, liquid makeup, rouge and lipstick. Most makeup can be removed from clothing if treated properly.

Avoid staining your clothes when getting dressed by hanging a handkerchief over your face before pulling on a shirt or using your hand to hold the collar away from your face. Be careful not to stretch the collar, though.

There are several things you can try to remove lipstick stains from clothing. First try rubbing the stain with a non-oily makeup remover. If that doesn't work, try using plain, white toothpaste. Gel toothpaste will not work.

Try using a cleaning solvent. First lay down an old towel and spread the stained item out on the towel. Apply the solvent and use an edge of the towel to soak up the solvent as well as the stain. Launder the item as usual. If the stain is still there, try using a mixture of ammonia and water.

A non-oily stain might come out when rubbed with a baby wipe or a clean cloth that has been dipped in liquid detergent. If that doesn't work, moisten a rag with shampoo or dish soap and try dabbing at the stain.

I just had this problem the other day....with makeup on a white blouse. I recently bought a product at Walmart called "OOPS" - a multi-purpose remover. Don't be put off by the smell (which is similar to lighter fluid). This stuff really works!! I followed the directions on the can - up to a point. I needed more of the 'product' than what was indicated...and I was concerned that it would damage the material of the blouse. But not only did it complete remove the makeup stain (which was quite large), but after washing the blouse in the washing machine the stain was gone, with no damage done to the fabric - and there was no hint of the smell of the product. I found this product in the paint section of Walmart, and it comes in a small metal can (that looks like a lighter fluid can). This stuff is so good that I removed red nail polish that I spilled on my living room carpet!! Good luck!

Isn't it a nightmare when you're just about to go out and you get makeup on your favorite top? Well, this advice will make sure you never go clubbing with a foundation stain on your clothing again!

********Steps**********
Take the piece of stained clothing off immediately. Do not give the stain chance to dry.
Get a tube of witch hazel and a damp flannel.
Squeeze out the size of a small pea onto your finger and rub it into the fabric, spreading it evenly on the stain.
Rub firmly on the stain with the damp flannel until the stain disappears.
If you have time, use the hairdryer to dry your clothing.
Put it back on and go have fun!

(*(*(*(*(Tips)*)*)*)*)
In order to prevent stained clothing in the first place, put your makeup on BEFORE you change into your going-out clothes,
Or you can always wear a dressing gown over your good clothes while you do your makeup.
Or watch your chair BEFORE you sit down.

@#$%^&*(Warnings)*&^%$#@
Be careful not to use too much witch hazel. The smallest amount works wonders!
Likewise, do not use too much water either. I speak from experience, it's not a good idea!

I can't believe you got this many answers, but this will do it for you with this kind of stain, and a WHOLE LOT OF OTHER PROBLEM STAINS. Until a few years ago, it was called Amway's Liquid Organic Concentrate, or LOC or short. My family would never be without it. It will take out ball point ink, let along some measly makeup problem.

Just drip a little on the stain, it is sort of think, like laundry detergent at that point, and brush it in gently, like with an old toothbrush, and then just wash as usual in your automatic washer. Hopefully you haven't had to ready all of the couple hundred other answers that were submitted, because this is the only one you will need. You're welcome! Always keep some of Amway's first product on hand. It is unequaled!
