We pretty much stop growing around the age of 16-18 but by the age of 23, we can have grown again, just a little.
Anywhere from 1/2 inch to an inch.
We start aging at the time of conception.
Remember, there was a time, when you were only a few hours OLD. Inside your mothers womb.

A person stops growing taller at the age span from 18 to 22 usually. The eyes are at peak performance at age 11, then it's a matter of nature and nurture -- your personal heridity and use/abuse/exposure to sun and pollutants. Some pollutants may be external and some
external. Body cells are renewed every 7 years, on a gradual basis... so the anwer is .... as complex as humans.

Everyone ages differently - but there are things you can do to slow the aging process such as avoiding the sun and not smoking to prevent wrinkles and eating more veggies and fiber to keep yourself healthier. Some people get gray hair in their 20's and others don't have gray hair in their 60's. I've seen people who looked older than me who were 10 years younger because they drink and party all the time, and I've seen people older than me that look younger because they exercise, eat right and stay active. Aging is different with every individual. Your cells never stop "growing" and replenishing themselves, and you start getting old when you give up on life.

Humans stop growing in height at the age of 21 to 24 yrs when the growing centers of long bones fuse.most of our cells keep replacing billions per day. Our blood cells are completely replaced in 120 days.that's the life span of red cells.Cells in brain and spinal cord don't behave like that. Process of aging starts rt after your birth. This is the most complex machine ever......the human being.....God is so Great.

Parts of us never stop growing entirely... like our feet and ears. The aging process is triggered by several things that we know of... abuse or poor nutrition as well as possibly being 'programed' into our genetic make up. These are 'scientific' answers though...
Personally, I think a lot of it is our attitude. I have known many folks that were amazing... they looked and acted far younger than their years and I don't mean childish! All of them had one thing in common... they had fun! Not just in doing active things, but in their outlook on life. One 74 yr. old (who looked all of 45 to 50) is a perfect example: He was very angry about something one day, but when I approached him about it he just laughed and told me that he so seldom got P.O.'d about anything that he was actually enjoying it and to leave him alone. He will be turning 90 in a couple of months and he still flirts with the pretty girls and chases his wife around the kitchen table!
So, I think forgetting how to laugh must be the turning point in getting old and quitting learning is when we stop growing.

It is different for males and females, females normally stop growing (as in height wise) at around 19, but can carry on until 21. Where as males stop at 21 but can carry on until 25 years of age.
This is due to different hormone releases at different times in puberty, the female growth spurt is much eariler than a males thats one of the reason males are taller than female, males have a bigger base to start from.
Hope that helps.
