I met His Holiness Bartholomew the Patriarch of Constantinople. he is the ecumenical head of all orthodox christains. This was when i was a student at uni and was visiting the greek patriarchate in istanbul

Met with and spoke to Lori Martin who starred in the National Velvet tv series in the 1960s. She was a snobby actress, even though she was a teenager and not really a prominent personality. When I was about 12 or so, my mom took me to the SF International Film Festival and we had Gregory Peck autograph our copy of "To Kill A Mockingbird." He was a charming, modest man. In 1964 or '65, when the Beatles came to SF, some girlfriends and I sneaked into the Hilton Hotel and tried to find where the Beatles' room was. We ran into their roadie, talked to him and got his autograph.

When I was about 10, I played in the same inter schools concert as Nigel Kennedy the violinist. Think he was only about 5 years old then. Only found this out recently when Mum found an old programme for the concert. I wonder if Nigel remembers me? LOL
