For many men, the appeal of having a virgin has to do with being the centre of her admiration and attention. The idea that you are the only man she will ever be with, and thus have sexual memories of, is very appealing. It is often a turn-off for a man (not all men, but very many) if a woman has fond memories of past lovers. Most every man wants to be the most amazing man his woman has ever had in her life. Also, men tend to think of sex in its most primitive, raw, and graphic aspects (e.g., penetration, ejaculation, nudity). The idea of another man being with his woman tends to evoke tremendous disgust because of the physical interactions and exchanges. For many men, the idea of having a virgin (sorry to use this analogy) is like obtaining a new car v. a used car. Remember that this is an emotional reaction for many men, not something that makes much sense to them--so they can't help feeling this way any more than a woman can't help liking one pair of shoes over another. When a man really falls in love with a woman, he can sometimes overlook her sexual past even though he might be the type that would be disgusted by her past. This male concern with the physical is typically the quite different from what so many women concern themselves with: whom does he love/did he love? Ladies, if you can, try to save yourself for someone you truly love--it will probably mean a lot to him.

They think it's a trophy that they have won. It's something that has been told to them by parents. Many think that once you have already had sex that your not worth anything. Many of the time the reason that they look for virgins is the "bragging rights" then they forget about them and don't even think about the pain and heart ache that the girl is going to face from that day on.

They're afraid that the 'girls' will know how badly the 'perform' if they had experience! However, with that said, I think there is still a double standard...that men are expected to have 'experience' and women are supposed to wait until marriage...not that there's anything wrong with waiting...I just don't care for this kind of double standard.

when we got older we don't... unless they are thinking of marriage, because virgins usually get really attached and alot of guys just looking to get a piece don't like that... unless they like to play the girls, then they like to mess with hearts because theirs probably was once played with..
