Take them aside and tell them..... you're helping him! Not hurting him.

Just tell your friend, "Dont you have anything else to say other than (whatever it is they say)? It's getting old." It will take a while before they break the habit, but if you do it often enough, and if you get others to do the same, they will eventually stop.

As far as hurting their feelings, the truth hurts. Only when they know that they are annoying will they stop and think about what they are doing or saying.

Just flat out tell him, but make sure it's just you two around when you say it. There is never any easy way of saying things like this to someone because we don't know how they will react, but I have learned sometimes not saying anything makes people feel like whatever their doing is ok to keep doing. If you can't get the nerve to tell him to his face then type a note or something and see that he gets it. Whether you want him to know it's from you or not is entirely up to you. Trust me if you don't tell him somebody else will. Nobody wants to be around annoying people all the time.

I'm sorry you have to deal with someone like that. Anyways, just tell him "I don't wanna be rude and I don't wanna offend you because you're my friend but is there any way you can chill out for a while? Sometimes I'm just don't feel like hearing anything funny or stupid, lets just hang out and be serious". I hope all goes well!!

Shaunna (if that is ur name) I'm not really the type of person that cares about hurting people's feelings.(I mean if their feelings are hurt, oh well, that's their problem) Just tell that person "Could you please stop tryin' 2 b funny 'cause you're really not." Or, u could just not be their friend their friend 4 about a week so u could have some time w/out them getting on ur nervers.

there is no way of telling them that there annoying without hurting there feelings you could probably tell that friend that the joke isn't funny and maybe there feelings won't be hurt as bad

ok ur his friend right? so sometimes there is no way to tell someone something without their feelings get hurt alil, u just have to say "look that isnt funny n i dont want ppl thinking ur a dork so cut it out" then try to help him not be the dork he really is.

Honesty, but do it at the right time, on your own, not with others to watch and listen, don't make too much of a fuss about it. If they are a good friend they will take the hint.

I have a brother who does that. I don't think you really can. Just be honest but not rude. Make sure you are firm so as to leave no confusion as to your being serious. "Look, _, I'm sorry, but what you're doing really bothers me. I really need you to stop. I'm sorry if I've hurt your feelings, but this is putting a wedge between us."

just tell ur friend, that u both dont have the same sense of humor. dont tell ur friend what he says is stupid, just simply tell him its not funny, and it is on the verge of being annoying.
