I actually find a supplement called acidophilus (I hope I spelled that correctly) helps a lot. I take it daily and I think it helps keep the balance correct so you don't get them. I didn't have too much luck with cayenne or garlic, however.

I've heard that garlic can really help, if you tie a string around a peeled clove and insert it into your vagina while you sleep. (the string is for getting it back out) It somehow helps balance the yeast and bacteria in your vagina. I've never heard anything about cayenne pepper capsules. Also, spooning unflavored yogurt into your vagina before you go to sleep can also help cure a yeast infection, and eating yogurt and garlic regularly can help prevent yeast infections, but just eating them doesn't necessarily cure one.

Yogurt & Acidophilus milk have both been proven to help reduce the incidence of yeast infections. Maybe you should be looking for a cause if you are having frequent, recurring yeast infections. True yeast infections usually follow with cottage cheese-like discharge and itching in the vaginal area. If these are present, you need to treat with Monistat or other OTC cream. Recurring yeast inf's have been linked to antibiotic use and bubble baths. Have you been taking an ATB or doing bubble baths? There are many ATB's that are more suseptible to causing yeast than other types. Ask your Dr (if this refers to you). Hope this helped?

i don't know of an herb that helps but i know their is something in yogurt that is good with keeping things like that under control. eat yogurt for a few days and see if things change. that would be the most natural choice i think.
