I have had a bruise on my knee for almost a year now (bad crash on a dirtbike) anyways I have not found anything that will help it fade. The only thing that works is going to a tanning salon and tanning. As your skin gets darker the bruise appears lighter. I always jokingly tell my husband "I have to go tan so I can get darker then my bruise" We laugh about it.

A bruise is a bruise, you can't get rid of it! It will heal and disappear on its own. The best thing to do is cover it up with concealer. Use concealer that's a couple shades lighter so that it blends a little better. Works for me!!

Have you ever seen the Sally Hanson spray tan in a can? It works great! It will not make the bruise go away but it could make it look a little less noticable. Also, it will not come off like make up will.

Ice will not help, it will actually make it go away slower but might help with the pain.
Cold causes less blood to be directed to that area. If you use warm compresses it will bring more blood to the area and could speed up the healing process. It might make it look worse for a day or two but will help it go a little faster.
in actuality neither will probably help but the cold wont for sure.

You can't be messing with bruises, 'cuz they're breaks to blood vessels in that area. If it looks that bad and bothers you so much, you can try airbrushing or putting some form of make-up or cover-up on it till it heals.

I've heard that a raw jalepeno cut open and rubbed on the area will help. Also see this site: http://www.ehow.com/how_3364_care-bruise-naturally.html. Otherwise use a conealer specifically for minimizing bluish undertones or under eye circles, one that is yellowish (under eye circles have the same undertone to them as bruises): http://www.physiciansformula.com/detail_list.asp?itemid=02467&scene=CONCEALERS&categorid=110.
