Hey, you whose name is forced on my words
Take your name out of my language, and leave
Take your hours out of my time, and leave
Take all what you want from the blueness of my sea, and leave
Take all what you want from the sands of my memory, and leave
Take all my photos and my relics, if you want
Maybe all this can make you know that you'll never know..
Will never know how a stone of my land can build a sky

Hey, you whose words are forced on my speech
Use your sword, I'll use my blood
Use your steel and fire, I'll use my flesh
Use another tank, I'll use a rock
Use a gas bomb, I'll use the rain
I'll always share you in the sky and the air
You'll never be able to exterminate me or to stop my breath

Hey, you whose wounds are imposed on my body
Take your dose of my blood, and leave
Go to a dancing party, and dance on my corpse, then leave
I will always guard the roses of my martyrs
I will always live the way I want to live
Not the way you want me to live

Hey, you whose definitions are forced on my dictionary
Pass to wherever you want, exactly as bitter burning ashes do pass, but leave
Don't pass among my people like flying insects
My land is mine and my children's
My wheat is mine and it grows on the drops of my sweat
In this place, I own all what you don’t want me to own: The land, the souls
A rock, a shyness, and a faith
Take my past – if you want – and sell it in your market
But return the body of the white parrot that you killed
It's my white parrot, my daughter's parrot

Hey, you whose weapons are tested on my children
Sweep your illusions in a neglected abyss, and leave
Return the watch's hands to the right sacred position
Or synchronize it according to the timing of your gun's music
I own my land; I will take it back at the time I choose
This land had witnessed all what you've never offered to it:
A bleeding nation, an ailing nation, a forgotten nation

Hey, you whose lies are poisoning my blood, and destroying my image
It's time you leave and go to your land, it's large and rich
Or go wherever you want
Or even die now if you're sure you'll be a martyr like my brother
But die away from my daughter's sand castle
This land is my past, my present, and my future
This land is my life and my heaven
So get out now of my land, my sea, my wheat, my salt, my wound
Get out of all my things
Even out of the memories of my memory
I will fix everything you destroyed
Leave!

p.s.: This poem was originally written in Arabic by the Palestinian poet MAHMOUD DARWISH and I have translated it into English now. I hope you like it. God bless the Palestinians.

Your poem seems a little vague and sappy to me, but this was a fine opportunity ro procure 2 points.

that was great nice poem it does give us the view from the other side of things and thats always a good thing.

but if they want them to leave they should stop attacking isreal ... i know i know it's not their fault... then they should try to get rid of the people who are attacking them....true but....but as i was saying they left the area and they still attacked..... ok thats true too that isreal did call off the ceasefire first only because they continued to shell them.... so all this has been an eye for an eye thats stupid why don't we just start over... hi i'm isreal who are you .... oh nice meeting you palestine you want to be economic partners.... no why?.... what do you mean your religion says we can't be friends because i'm jewish... ouch why the hell did you do that for....ok then take this

No wonder you guys are getting creamed everyday. The pen isn't really mightier than the sword. If it was Yasser Arafat would have been right out front leading the charge.
