Cramps: place a warm water bottle or warm rag on your back and/or lower abdomen. The heat will soothe the pain by relaxin muscles and opening up those blood vessels to help blood flow. Also you can go to the store and get this heating pad that heats up from your body heat and lasts for a couple of hours. You can go to the drug store and get stuff like Tylenol and Midol. A little exercising does help. And of course my favorite...just going to sleep..lol...funny but it works. (until you wake up ;))
Migraines: Excedrin works pretty good and so does Tylenol.
NOTE: very painful periods for a long time isn't normal...check with your doc if your really having a hard time. My periods were so horrible that i became anemic and had a seizure. My remedy was Depo (birth control), however your remedy may be a lot cheaper:) Good Luck and I hope that helped you.

If it's often, you should go for a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. The effect on the self-healing power of the body is simply amazing - own experience! :-)
It's really worth travelling far - at present, the treatment is available in California and Europe only, costing less than 200 Dollars. Good luck!

Use Tylenol, or midol. Do not take aspirin, aspirin, ibuprofen, and aleve are non steroid anti inflammatories and will make you bleed more. Avoid caffeine drink plenty of water. Also the heat wraps help some to. Go to the doctor and get birth control pills, they will almost completely get rid of your cramps

Guided imagery--imagine you are on an island (or anywhere you want to be), use candles, scents, etc to help you get there. Another great technique is deep breathing exercise which works for all types of pain. Lay down & get comfortable-now pratice breathing from the abdomen up, slow deep, steady breaths. For menstrual pain, have you considered the pill? It worked for me. (Not recommended for smokers).

Before your period go out and exercises, that will relieve cramps. Take a pain killer and use a heating pad. Or you can take a warm bath. You can also use a cramp reliever like Pamprin.

Ibuprophen. And a heating pad. And chocolate. Okay the chocolate just tastes good, doesn't really do much for cramps, except by adjusting your attitude.
