Like one you would get at guitar center? And what is a good cheap brand of amp under 100 bucks? I am a new guitar player and want to buy a electric.

They're cheap. The action is very high, and not comfortable to play. If I were you, I would just save a little more money and get a Fender made in Mexico. They are pretty darn good. As far as the amp goes, I would get a very small practice amp with only a few watts.

It is a good guitar to start out on. Any amp you buy under 100$ will be fine. You can go to a music store that sells them used and you may be able to get one even cheaper. Guitar is great. Good luck.

Squiers are ok for a beginner.
As for the amp go look at a few local pawn shops. Sometimes you can get a good deal on a amp.

Fender makes a "strat pack" that includes a fender squire, a 10 watt amp, a strap, a tuner, and a few picks. Basically, everything you need to start.

Here's a link to one on e-bay.
