Some days ago, I think it was on monday, my secretary found a rat in the office... It has hiding in the bathroom of a partner who almost never comes to work. (and when he comes, he just sits around...)

Anyway, at the time when we found the rat, we had nothing to get rid of it other than a broom, so we decided to close the barhtoom door and get a mice trap.

We did. Today, friday. So the little rat stayed on the bathroom the whole week, I beleive with nothing to eat, but plenty of water to drink (supposing our little friend would be stupid enough to dive into the toilet bowl...)

Today, as I was setting up the trap in the bathroom I noticed a little tail peeking out from under the trash can, but there was no movement. The animal had died, leaving us kind of sad (we where beginning to grow fond of him), and with a useless rat trap.

We're guessing here in the office, the cause of death of the little varmint. Suicide? Starvation? Heat shock? (We are in Mexicali, Baja California, and the thermometer is about 115 degees F) Cardiac arrest? Impression from seeing my ugly mug?

What do you think, What killed the rat? Was this story interesting?

Regards.
Hugo.

me and some buddies went canoeing in alabama during a a flood. The buddy that i was with(jamie) and myself wer floating down the river and we got caught in some brush and sank our canoe that we were renting in (which we never found). so we said the hell with it and kind of floated the rest down the river. we got about a mile and a half or so and there was a log that went the ENTIRE way across the water and behind it was about 30-50 ft of debree and i didnt have enough time to make it to the bank. again this was during a flood down a river. I just barely caught hold of the top of the log and struggled for SERIOUSLY 5-10 minutes. i did more physical work there than i did in my entire life put together. I knew that if i got dragged under that i would die, or have to hold my breath for a LONG time trying to smim under all the sticks and debre and ****. So i finally got up. and just sat there strattled on the side of this log in the middle of ******* no where, until i caught by breath. i was way to scared to stand up and walk across the log so i straddled it for about i would say 15-29 yards. I only had a pair of shorts on, i kicked my shoes off when i was pulling myself up the log because it was weighing me down. so i had to walk a mile and a half barefoot and shirtless through bugs, insects fire ants bees pricker bushes, thorn bushes and all that ****. finally i got to my car, drove my buddy home, went home and sat in the warm bath up to my neck for about a half hour. later in the evening i started itching my inner thighs the next day my ENTIRE body. come to find out the log that i straddled had poison ivy on it and soaking in a warm bath spreads poison ivy. I had poison Ivy litarally ON MY ENTIRE BODY. i went to the doctors and he told me that it was the worse case of poison ivy he a had ever seen. sometimes i would get so pissed that i itched so much that i would take a hair brush and itch my legs and i could see the dead skin litarally all over the floor. it sucked it took me about a month and a half to 2 months to get rid of it. this is the gods honest truth all of it, i left some small detail out, but i hope it isnt too long and it is interesting.

Don't underestimate the power of the mind.
In an aborigine tribe in australia, a scientist witnessed the true power of the mind. In the tribe, it was believed that a deadly curse could be set on someone by going to a witchdoctor and getting a bone pointed at the enemy. The scientist saw the person who was being cursed. As this person realized that the was being cursed by the fatal bone, he immediately froze in fright. He started to convulse involuntarily and collapsed onto the ground. He started to froth at the mouth and in moments, this man was dead! Although nothing was physically done to him, his belief was so strong that he was being killed by the curse that his mind told his body to die.
