Bluto was the first and most vicious. Brutus came along after Bluto when the rights of Popeye came from Fleischer to Paramount. Wimpy was an original character from the Segar comics. Popeye and Olive are not married, but are dating, which is why Brutus always tries to steal her away. Swee'Pea is adopted. Sea Hag was one of Popeye's oldest adversaries, but I don't know what you're getting at there.
