Hydrogen peroxyide is not to be used in a puncture wound. If it has turned green then you probabaly have gangrene. I would get to the hospital real fast. Tell the girlfriend to take a hike. And-by the way I know you are f.o.s.!!

Dear distressed person,
I am very sorry to hear that things like that still happen in our modern medicine world. But I know they do, and I am even more sorry that what is happening to you has not made you think of getting a second opinion.
It doesn't sound as if you went to a competent doctor; why didn't the Dr. prescribe some antibiotic for you?. Please go A.S.A.P to another doctor and get a second opinion. Continue to do what you describe for washing the wound and if the ER doctor gave you a written diagnosis, bring it with you to the next doctor you go to; but by all means go SOON!.
On the positive side, this incident has brought you a great benefit. You may think I am crazy for saying this but, your girlfriend has shown her true colors; I don't think there should be any doubt on your mind about her loyalty to you and compassion toward another human being. So, look at all the time you don't have to spend with her to find out who - and how she really is-.
Why are you afraid she will leave you? she already has. Would you act the same way if it was to her to whom it happened?.
Invest your efforts into getting well and saving your toe from amputation. Go to your family for help and support if you need it, but by all means go to another doctor and forget about your girlfriend. By the way...what if she had a child and she acted the same way?. Think about it.

You have two problems - a funky toe and an inconsiderate girlfriend.
First - go get a second opinion on the toe. Head to an urgent care clinic or make an appointment with another doctor.
Second - this girl sounds very shallow and is more concerned with what your foot looks like then how you feel. Is this really someone you want to spend time with? What happens if you get married and you get into an accident or get a serious illness? It doesn't sound like she'll stick around to support you.

About your toe: I suggest you get yourself a second opinion. You should really get to a better doctor, one that will take this seriously. It is no laughing matter...I'm no doctor, The green may just be bruising...still, there should be a follow-up check for this injury because it was a puncture wound and those are dangerous because you never know what could have stayed stuck in the hole.
And about that girl you call yours:
Are you serious? On your profile it says you are ready to marry...You are ready to marry someone who is grossed out by your sick toe? Now, I don't think that's right...If this girl really loves you, she wouldn't even joke with something that causes you so much pain... You are concerned for your health and she does not even want to get close to your toe? I wouldn't call her a "keeper".
Two words of advice to you my friend:
1. Dump your Doctor...
2. Dump that Girl...

uhm well personally, I think the problem is your relationship with you and your gf. I mean, yea dont worry ur toe will get better, it's just swelled up a little bit. But if your worried that your girlfriend is going to dump you over a small thing like then, then maybe you should think about your relationship problems.K? Well I hope you really dont take this the wrong way.

Go see another doctor. May be you'll need a tetanos shot.
About the girlfriend - if she won't talk to you because you have a bad toe, can you imagine later in life when you have a cold, a hangover or whatever else might come in your life?! Hang out, have fun but don't think about a bright future with her. Good luck!

Your girlfriend sounds really self-centered. If she cared at all about what YOU were going through, she'd be trying to help you instead of pushing you away. In regards to your toe, getting an infection from a rusty nail is serious. Some people have died, so I say follow your doctors instructions very carefully and get a new girlfriend.

If you are serious.....keep putting the meds on it. It will heal. Dump your g/f for being so superficial. Do you really want someone who doesn't want you b/c of a toe problem. She should be there for you and wash your toe!!!!!!!
