For me, it has to be the pitch on a 2 out, bases loaded, bottom of the 9th, winning run on third situation.

It makes my heart pound just thinking about it.

There are a lot of suspenseful situations which can occur in a baseball game..

How about changing your scenario slightly, by having the TYING run on third rather than the winning run, with two out? This way, the batter HAS to come through...

If the winning run is on third base, that means the game is tied up... Don't you think there's more excitement if the team at bat is a run down, and needs for the batter to reach base in order to tie or win the game...now THAT'S the time to be on the edge of your seat!

The ninth inning of a potential no-hitter/perfect game is also pretty exciting. Can the pitcher complete it? Can any of the batters get a hit to spoil it?

Joe Carter's HR won game 6 not game seven (re: Answer below)...the only walk off HR to win a game 7 was Bill Mazeroski's HR in the bottom of the 9th inning in game 7 of the 1960 World Series, which won it for the Pirates over the Yankees.

Well for me its when your team is out of the game pretty much but then they come back to win.Like the opening day game for the Royals in 2004....the Royals went into the 9th loosing 7-3 and ended up winning that game 9-7!It was by far the best game I have ever been able to be at!It will take a lot to beat that one!

Mine grew to become right into a walk-off win final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Twins vs. Orioles. Armando Gabino is pronounced as up from the minors to pitch for the Twins and proceeds to offer up 4 runs in 2 2/3 innings, and that i'm thinking it particularly is gonna be a sort of looong nights. however the Twins battled lower back to win it with a walk off hit (single, i think of) via Delmon youthful in the backside of the 9th. the 1st walk-off I experienced.

I have two that stick out in my mind ( I know both Atlanta Braves moments so shoot me... first the 1992 comeback with with two runner on and franciso cabrera was up to bat hit a single up the middle with two out in the bottom of the 9th... Gave me chills when Sid Bream crossed the plate... Second of 2000 Andres Galarraga had been out for a whole yer with Testicular cancer and he came back the first game of that year and hit a homerun and a double and drove in three.. I had tears in my eyes that he came back from cancer and did all that in his first game of that season

Living in Boston the most exciting moment is ALWAYS when David Ortiz is at the plate with a game winning oppertunity. Especially because he usually can pull through!!!

You should watch the 1988 World Series when Kirk Gibson hit the game winning home run, while he was injured, limping to the plate. Go Dodgers!

A triple (or inside-the-park home run) where the runner just beats a perfect throw to third (or home).
