Everyone ovulates at a different time. To find out when you ovulate and how best to schedule some baby-making, start taking and charting your Basal Body Temperatures (BBT).
To check your basal body temperature, start keeping track of your temperature on the first day of your period using a basal body thermometer (you can buy one at any pharamcy), which shows minute changes in your temperature. You should take your temperature as soon as you wake up and before you get out of bed. If you can, take your basal body temperature at the same time every morning. When you have done this mark it on a chart.
It's helpful to chart your temperature for a few months so you can see whether there's a pattern to your cycle. If you're sick or fail to take your temperature immediately upon awakening, any pattern you find may be inaccurate. Thermometers that remember the last reading are helpful if you tend to go back to sleep after taking your temperature.
Also check your cervical mucus. There are three ways you can do this: using toilet paper or your fingers across the opening of your vagina, wearing a panty liner (which is sometimes hard to detect) or inserting your finger into your vagina. Note the consistency of the mucus. You may also want to monitor its texture throughout the day. If it’s clear and slippery, about the consistency of raw egg white, then you’re at your most fertile.
You should notice a rise in your temperature signaling that you have ovulated at the same time your mucus will look and feel like egg white. When the two coincide, then you know it's time to start trying to concieve.
Usually once you've ovulated, your window of opportunity is starting to close (but not completely closed), but with the BBT chart, you will have a better idea of your ovulation date for the next cycle.
Good luck.

If you have a regular 28 day cycle then you should ovulate around 14 days after the start of your period. So if your period began on July 8th then you should be ovulating around the 22nd (tomorrow). The best thing to do is to have sex today, tomorrow, and the following days as these are your most fertile days. Since sperm can live for 5 days inside your body, if you have sex now, that will give you a five day window to try and conceive. If you have an irregular cycle then you may ovulate a little before or after this date as it all depends on your body. Good luck.

Buy a box of the fertility test strips. They're about $15 and come with a little chart inside to tell you about what day you should be ovulating. They give you 5 tests that work just like a pregnancy test but tells you 24 hours before you will ovulate. They really do work and are easy to use. If your cycles are regular then one box should be fine every month, if they're not buy a few boxes and just test every morening, thats what I did. It's a little spendy but really works. You can also get generic ones at Wal-Mart for a little less.

Okay, given your next question stating that your cycle length is 29 days, you should expect your next period to start August 6. Your best chances of conceiving are to have sex July 21st (today!), 23rd, 25th, and 27th. You will probably be ovulating in that range. You do it every other day to give the sperm a chance to build up fully. Sperm lives for 48-72 hours, so there is no need to do it more frequently, and that can actually decrease your chances.
Good luck!

It depends on how long your cycle is. You ovulate 14 days before your period starts. So if you have a 28 day cycle you will be ovulating on July 22nd. If you have a 31 day cycle you would ovulate on July 25th. Figure out the day that you ovulate and start trying a few days before that up until the day afterwards. Good luck!

Theoretically (assuming the 8th was the 1st day you started bleeding) it will be from the 20th to the 23rd - or somewhere in there (it is typically 12-15 days after the 1st day of your period).
Your best chance for conception is to have sex every other day, starting on the 18th and going to the 25th. Also, after your husband ejaculates, rest for 30 minutes with a pillow under your hips to elevate the pelvis and introduce more semen into the cervical opening.

It depends on the length of your cycle, really. The post-ovulatory phase is pretty much the same across all women (12-16 days, meaning that you ovulate 12 -16 days before the start of your next period.)
Check out "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. You'll learn how to determine when YOU ovulate, as opposed to the hypothetical average woman. And you'll also learn the signs your body gives you when it's fertile.

It is hard to tell when you will be ovulating in order to know that you have to measure your cycle. Women usually ovulate during the middle of their cycle but that is only if you have a regular cycle. I used to be very iregular so I used to ovulate on different days every month, if this is your case I recommend you to get an OPK. Once you know when you ovulate your most fertile days will be 4 days before ovulation and the day after ovulation.
