LMAO @ ganja_claus! (I just thought his comment was funny - funny in a silly way, not in a bad way...)

When I read your question, I envisioned a heavy, plain silver band, or a silver ring with a piece of turquoise or a black and white yin & yang. When I see a person with a ring like that, it's usually some sort of non-traditionalist, like an artist or neo-hippie 70s revivalist. It just seems to kind of go with a less-mainstream set of ideals and a more retro, deliberately careless look -- poet shirts, frayed blue jeans, and bare feet or weathered Birkenstocks. And the smell of patchouli.

When I see a dainty gold ring with a dainty bauble, such as a birthstone or a pearl, on a thumb, all I can think is "She needs to get that sucker resized so she can put it on a finger where it belongs."

But why do you ask? Did you hear of some other significance? Because now I'm curious! :-)

Chicks with rings on all fingers and thumbs are said to be hot in bed, I just know for a fact that girls without all the rings are too...

Not that I know of. I used to because I just like the way it looked. I've been thinking about it again.
