Didn't President Bush just veto a bill about that? Or maybe that was just about using tax money to fund it,.. of course, I think that was only regarding stem cells from embryos. I'm not sure about adult cells( which in fact are scientifically more useful).

President G.W. Bush signed the bill long ago that authorized the FIRST federal funding ever made available for research on 22 different lines of embyonic stem cells. The funding and the stem cells are still available. He recently vetoed an attempt to authorize funding for research on additional lines, a matter of moral principle. I am pleased that you, at age 15, are trying to dig out the facts on this matter. I am amazed that people 2-3-4-5 times your age haven't done the same.

Yes they are but to a limited extent. Bush approved funding for stem cell research but limited it to a set of already available stem cell lines.
He just vetoed a recent bill (I think) that would extend the stem cell lines and funding for additional research.
If you're doing a paper, I suggest you do better research than simply ask people on yahoo answers

Have you ever used Wikipedia? Try it, and do a search for your topic on yahoo and google.
Also, since this is currently in the news you should try reading some on line newspapers, and your local papers, too. Try the NY Times, LA Times, Boston Globe, Washington Post and the others in big cities near your home.
Be sure to get the reference details for your footnotes and bibliography. Good Luck!
