It's always sad to witness the end of someone's career.

Hey, I happen to like "Unbreakable". I like his style of movies. It keeps you guessing until the end. He's like an illusionist...You go into each of his movies with a certain perception of what the plot is, and it's only at the end, you are surprised that it was not what it really seemed all along. His movies make you think afterwards. Most other Hollywood blockbuster movies are so predictable and the plots are all the same. Each of his movies is different - different characters, different plots - the only consistency is that you know you are in for a shock at the end.

I think it's sad. However, I do place some blame with the advertisers/trailer makers. The previews make it out to be scary...something along the lines of 6th sense or signs. It also doesn't make a lot of sense to have a child singing "who's afraid of the big bad wolf" when the movie is about a woman in water (this was in the trailer). However, it's a children's story. He told this story to his kids and then turned it into a movie.
I think he's a creative genius, but I was slightly dissappointed to see that it wasn't going to be scary.

It's kind of sad.
But I've read mixed reviews from people who've seen it - and not just by the critics. I'm seeing it tonight with someone who is very much looking forward to seeing it, so that might make it worthwhile if it is not.

well its not like he hasnt before. So he has had one success-the sixth sense...but that doesnt meant he will do it again. I think Lady in the water will be a complete failure. just like the village. And with Little man- they gave away the only funny parts in the previews...

I would call it true. Lady in the Water is watered down bullshit. Little man is a little shitty. Well, actually a lot shitty.
