Well there might be a little confusion on my part because i like rap but id pretty much consider it old skool stuff. what some people try to classify rap nowadays i think would fall under hip hop . Which i don't get because it doesn't have any structure.

Likes ans dis-like of music is an opinion.
I like opera - my sister says it's people screaming.
I like all music, I rate each song by it's content, do I like the beat, is it appealing to me and so on. It does not matter what type of music it is cause I am a person who loves music.
Everything from 2 PAC to Karen Carpenter.
All music is someones expression of a topic.
If I dig the way you lay it down and it flows well I'm with it.
But I must ad I don't really like what is refered to as gangster rap.

i personally dont like rap. but i can see how it is considered music since music comes in many shades of variety. i think it does take some talent... but for all the popular rappers, i think its all for the fame and money. i could understand rap if they had positive lyrics-- like Will Smith.. i respect him as a rapper.

i hate rap... meaningless music really, all it talks about is usually some girl with a big butt, fighting in a club, ordoing drugs... and even sometimes, all together... and you can't understand what they're saying unless you get the lyrics or set the tv to captions....

Well rock is just people screaming and country is just people whining about how they lost their wife or dog or car. See? Its all about personal opinion. Life would be boring if there was only one kind of music.

I don't care for it, rap is more of a poetry with a whole lot of swearing. i personally don't enjoy listening to that style or the subjects of sex and drugs that it mentions.
