Its been 7 1/2 weeks since I gave birth to my baby. I had the tubaligation surgery 1 week and 1 day ago. My husband and I really miss the intimacy. I didn't think it would be this overwhelming. Should I just wait til my follow up on the 25th. I'm only worried because I don't want to get pregnant.

ASK YOUR DOCTOR

I would just wait until you see your doctor before doing anything, give yourself a chance to heal. it should make the intimacy level greater when you finally do get to be intimate again. I waited almost a year before being intimate again, but that was because I was afraid of feeling less sexual, and feeling less attractive. but my guy was totally supportive of me the whole time. There is a slight to not at all chance of getting pregnant, depending on how much of the tubaligation you had done. The doctor told me there was no chance of my ever becoming pregnant, only because I also had my uterus scarred along with the tubes tied. But I'd say at least wait until you are not sore anymore or until you see the doctor for the checkup.

We only had to wait until my wife wasn't sore anymore. The doctor said that she couldn't get pregnant because the tubes had been tied and the ends burned. If it makes your feel more confident though you should call your doctor.

My sister had a tubal ligation with her tubes burned and had sex. Guess what she got pregnant, therefore as the rest of the majority of answers said ask your doctor.

You can better wait some more. If you really want to, first ask your doctor.
