I used evergreen lawn builder (fertilizer). Only put it on about 2 weeks ago, a bit late i know, in some places where i thought needed more grass i put more fertilizer! bad move, at least i know now! Thanks everyone!

Not enough information. What did you use to feed it? You may have burned it with too much fertilizer. Did you water it in throughly? Did you use too strong a fertilizer or a mixture too rich in one ingredient or another? Did you apply it evenly? Did you apply it in the high heat of the day? All of these things can be contributing factors -- sorry! Hope you can come up with details and someone can help fix it for you!!

You might have used the wrong fertilizer for this time of the year and burned the grass.

did you use some kind of quick-release fertilizer? you burned your lawn with fertilizer, I suspect. during the summer grass enters a dormant stage, so you shouldn't fertilize now. grass enters rapid growing phases in spring and fall, those are good times to fertilize.

Too much fertilizer where the yellow patches are. you need to spread the fertilizer more evenly. try one of those spreaders that you hold in your hand and turn a crank.
For now just water alot.

you put to much so you burned it! give it time it will come back to life and will be a big green patch
