Chavez is a loudmouthed communist dictator who lets his own people starve and kills people who disagree with him. He is a few bricks short of having a full load if you know what I mean is why he thinks President Bush is out to get him. Entertainer activist Harry Bellefonte seems to like him as he paid him a visit callin President Bush a terroist! Chavez is a liar and an arrogant so called leader.

Because they believe the propaganda they are subjected to, and never bother to research the Honorable Hugo Chavez.

The USA has lost it's credibility, and is losing it's stranglehold on the rest of the world.
Hugo Chavez is a clear example of what can be achieved when countries disregard their orders from Washington:-
Over 17 million people now have access to free health care and medicines for the first time.
Over 1 million people taught to read and write.
Participation encouraged for all Venezuelans in the formation, implementation, and operation of their democracy.
Venezuela has become truly, a democracy of the people, by the people and for the people, after years of US intervention and suppression.

But of course the people in power in the USA have labeled Chavez a terrorist, communist, dictator, etc. etc.

Around the world, whenever an alternative political systems have emerged they have been brutally crushed, or isolated by our ruling elites for what they call "the threat of a good example"

There is at last hope for us all, a chance to end inequality, and injustice. :)

I'm not sure if people don't like him. Where you got such info? You mean people who repeat Fox news?

He seems more reasonable president than our Bush. Let see: he has not got presidency simply from father without a merit, he has a character, he is not an extremist (at least not as much as Bush), he has not started any aggression, nor he noticed in curbing democracy and other scandals. He seems a bit on left side of polytics, but his bias is nothing compared with Bush right extremism.

Well, having said that, it is not difficult to be a better president than Bush. One should be a normal person with average IQ.

I could wipe my *** and come up with more informed opinions than this crowd.
Chavez isn't building democracy. He is a socialist grabbing power. Look what he has done with his country so far. Just recently he made the jail terms/fines higher for people who report what he calls false information to the media. In other words. Journalism he disagrees with. If "free" healthcare is sooooo good why do the Canadian elite come to the USA for major surgery???\
What does free mean anyway? Health care isn't free. Your idiotic version of free health care is the taxpayer fully funding healthcare. I bet in the same breath you say taxes are to high and the deficit is out of control but we should all have free healthcare. It has been clearly documented that free healthcare [UK, Canada, Aussie] is fraught with enormous fraud. The government works off of the lowest bid. Look at the waste the government commit ts!! Katrina alone is pushing 2 Billion dollars in waste/fraud/abuse. And you want to add health care to that. Funny how people complain about something in this country and at the same time ***** about the time it takes to get my to go order from Taco Bell. Simplistic twits. GO TO CUBA AND CHAVEZ'S PIECE OF **** HOLE IN THE GROUND IF YOU DONT LIKE IT HERE.

Yeah baby!

You're right, he's a liar. But Bush IS out to get him. Since the 50's with the socialist movements in Latin America (Guatemala, Bolivia, Cuba) there has been CIA support to right-wing parties to achieve power and keep it, since they are supporters for the USA.

They sabotaged the insurrection in Guatemala fearing that, with socialist leaders, the Soviet Union would set military bases there; they killed Che Guevara in Congo... oh, and let's not forget "Bahía de Cochinos" (bay of pigs), where CIA agents tried to enter Cuba pretending they were cuban exiles returning to their country, and got killed by Castro's troops, that knew it was all fake.

Even now, there are suspects that the US government illegally supported the right-wing party in México to win the elections, since it was competing very closely with the socialist candidate.

The US is a colonialist country nowadays, and if heads need to roll to achieve their goals, they will, and Hugo Chávez's head is very tempting to Bush.

way to go Dd you really have a way of showing them .
YOU must always try to look for the truth and not believe the news or government .
THEY are all run by the same people and the truth is out there you must do a little digging of your own .
CHAVEZ is a leader who will make the choices to bring equality of life to all the people both those who have in the past used racism and power to control the people and create a more democratic way of life for all the people .

Because he has balls to stand up to Bush and provides for his country and gives the poor equal opportunity as the rich and that bothers most Conservatives. VIVA Chavez! VIVA Venezuela.

The anti-American rhetoric, the fact that his left of center policies will only make his nation poorer and ruin its economy, the rigged elections to make sure he maintained power, friends with Castro, the threat to Columbia if they elected an America friendly government. I think that's it. Here's a good lesson for people having a coup: if you get the top guy, kill him so he can't come back.

You're right. He's a bad man. An evil dictator. His conscience is why he's afraid of Bush. Bush has already taken one evil dictator down. In his mind, who's to say he's not next? In short, he's in the category of evil dictators, and he knows Bush doesn't like them!
