Yes, Canon City, Colorado. A beautiful place with the Royal Gorge Bridge. You have just got to see that. The highest bridge in the world. Fantastic view !!!!!

Take a camera.

While in the Colo Spgs area go to Manitou Springs. Take the train ride to the top of Pikes Peak.
Also go see the Garden of The Gods just outside the city.
Near Cheyenne Mt. is a place called Seven Falls. It is privately owned and a really cool place to visit. Go to Seven Falls as the sun is setting. That way you can enjoy the drivve through the very narrow canyon and then see the falls lit up at night.
Go west to Canon City and see the Royal Gorge. Take a funicular to the bottom of the gorge. Walk across the suspension bridge over 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River.

Safe trip and have fun.
Peace

I am so lucky to live in Colorado. The sand dunes are amazing. You should check out the Alligator Farm while you are down there. Make sure you drive to the top of Pikes Peak, but go early in the morning before the thunderstorms. In Denver go to the mint--it is free and always interesting.
