I prefer to get my news from the television, because I am a visual person who likes to see pictures of what is going on etc. The TV also provides a convenience for me when I just want to see the weather, I turn on a news channel and at the bottom of the screen they usually list the weather. The television also provides breaking news. Although the radio is a good source too, it lacks reliability only because I can't always get a news station to come in clearly and you have to listen to a bunch of crap before you get to hear the story or weather you have been waiting for. The newspaper is also a good source, but most likely you are reading old news because it has to be printed the day after the event happens, but it is also nice because you don't have to sit through all the news you don't want to listen to, you can just turn the page. Overall all three methods are reliable and convenient, but I prefer the TV.

Okay. I perfer getting news information from the newspaper. That's probably because I can read it over and over again. It's at my own pace; anytime. I don't have to see it after every hour or so. As for television, it's not too thrilling. If I see something important or something I'm interested in. I can cut the article out and keep it... but then it could also be that I don't watch TV. However, I perfer the newspaper. Internet is alright, world news is provided. I wouldn't choose radio, only for all-ears.
Here, in Vancouver, we get a newspaper called '24 hours' of course we get it everyday, in orange coloured boxed at a few stores. It's not too big, just a few pages with all the news per day... colourful, easy reading. You don't feel like you're doomed to being bored. Thanks!

I'd say television is #1, and then the newspaper. The tv is always there and you don't have to boot it up (like a computer, for example) so it's very easy and quick access to get the news I need. As for newspaper, it just on occasion provides me with reading material while I'm on the public transit... so that's it for me I guess.

I like Fox Cable News, I listen to a few talk shows on the radio in my truck daily. Most popular news outlets are very much to the liberal left and are anti American so I go elsewhere then form my own opinion.

Television
Fox News Channel
I like the balance of the programs. They have both sides represented most of the time, AND they exhibit common sense and will tell you the little details, instead of a Brushing Overview and only partial story.

print newspapers
they are much easier to physically manipulate than other media
never crash (as opposed to web news sources)
you can access any article you want in any order
better for your eyes to read actual print (I think better for actual recall as well but not sure, i.e. retention of what you have read)
forces you to read articles you might not ordinarily read (as with internet news because the internet gives you "unlimited" news and people figure why bother with articles that don't look interesting at first glance - reading articles that don't look interesting at first glance may lead to broadening viewpoints and interests)
gotta say, however, don't like the smudge!
good luck with the research project

TV, Our local news has been interesting lately. About a week ago there was a drug bust with over 50 people arrested. I live in Wisconsin.
