My friend and I went to a country bar last night and it seemed with every country song the crowd just broke into a line dance. Do certain dances go with certain songs or does someone just start a dance and everyone follows? How can I learn? They had lessons in the beginning but they went way to fast. I really want to learn how to dance like all these people. We were just running into everyone trying to learn.

Some songs do have specific dances that go with them. You have to visit the place to get a feel of which dance goes with which song.

There are line dancing videos out there but most of them are really out dated. What they can do however is give a feel for the different kind of steps there are.

The next time you are at the bar, ask one of the staff if they have a early session on Friday to teach the dances.
A lot of places do that. It is good for business to have people teaching dance classes.

just go to a country bar and when all the women get up like zombies and line up on the dance floor, join them and do what they do. no one will care if you're not great, because they all have a glazed look on their faces.
