ok, first off, we have the reputation of being "rich and snobby". As it is true that connecticut has the richest town in the Northeastern Hemispere, and there are a good amount of wealthy people, we also have some of the worst projects you will ever see. Connecticut is almost totally woods, hills, and just any other suburbia. WE AINT SNOBBY! MOST OF US AINT RICH! connecticut is a great state. If you want to take a drive across the country to experience every aspect of the USA, go through the entire state of CT. It has everything the US has to offer, beaches, farms, mountians, plains, rivers, lakes, woods, it snows, it gets to 90 degrees, and big citys. Every thing except a desert : ). Also, why do people never think of a Ct when they think of a state? I asked like 50 people to name any random state, and not one ct came up.

I just wanted to clear up some of the Ct myths out there.

CT, its hard to spell and hard to say with out saying connect-it. its a long name and sounds wierd. as for the 50 people you asked i bet they said easy short sounding states like new york, or texas. and yes im sure ct is beautiful so is illinois, it has everything u mentioned above including the projects and the rich people difference is we hav em all in one city (chicago).

SNOB! hahahaha! Just Kidding. I hear ya. I think it's good to be a citizen of a state that isn't notorious. It is a beautiful state rich in American heritage, scandeless to the point of being a bit boring. That's a good thing.

Awesome weekend!

I'm sorry but you will always be looked upon as a suburb of New York and the 5th avenue inhabitants. You always refer to it as "The City" as it is just across the way and in a way it is. Yes there are stereotypes but because the bluebloods and the preppies (especially in the early 80's when "preppiness" was cool and everyone wanted to be one) They are the face of not only Connecticut but of all New England. Do you know how many of you vacation at "The Vineyard" and it is up in Mass. Well, why not go to Watch Island, R.I., Newport, or the Hamptons, its much closer. Connecticans like to be with their peers, which are...the 5th avenue inhabitants. The one thing-sad thing about stereotypes is...90% of the time, they are true. That goes for you and me!
