Yes, sending a text message from a PC to a Cell phone in the same region is possible....Yahoo messenger is the popular one of a several programs which allow this facility...But the yahoo messenger user at the other end must subscribe to this facility through yahoo messenger and the Network Operator on his cell phone,then only will he be able to receive messenger messages on his cell phone.

Yes. Go to yahoo messenger or yahoo mobile. On messenger it is an option in the tool bar. Just enter the number and then the text. In yahoo mobile go to send a text message or the pc icon. enter the number and if you know the phone type then your message. Also go to the phone company the person subscribes too....and search for the send a text message. You enter the number and message. Good luck.

You have to go to your services provider and on their home site their should be box were it says send a text message. You might have to make an account to do so, with your service provider.Or you can get an agreement with something like dadamobile.com.They'll let let you send text messages from your computer for a monthly bill of $9.99.The cheapest way is if you send a message from your service provider.

Yes you can. Go to yahoo and search for text messaging. You will find several links to websites that offer free texting from computer to cellphones. Better yet, I just remembered that on Yahoo's main page is a link to Yahoo Mobile and you can send text messages.

If you are using Yahoo Messenger, you can specify a phone number that will send your message. When you type your message, it will ask if you want to send it to the phone or not.

Yes, it depends on the carrier. The carrier would have to have email-like addresses set up on their end so that the phone can receive the message. For example, if I'm a Verizon Wireless customer, my "email" SMS address would be 5083774611@vzw.com. That sends your short, text-only email to my phone.

So, you have to find out what the carrier's SMS domain is.

Yes, that's how I usually send texts to my brother. I go to his phone's company's web page and there's an option that says SMS message. I love that it's free.
