Yes and it should be soon. Wouldn't it be nice if our next president was an African-American woman? Two firsts in the same time.

Someday but I don't think it will happen soon. The first black president will probably be a Republican. Same with the first female president. Democrats are far more likely to cross party lines to vote on ideals than Republicans are. It is just the way it is.
Most Republicans will vote a straight party ticket even if they don't like the candidate. Democrats have a problem staying in line like that (for good or for bad) and seem to be more interested in the idea of having either a black or a female president than Republicans. Condi Rice might be both but I don't know if the Republicans will nominate a single woman. They are pretty family oriented. At least that's the party line.

Yes we will. The question is: will America ever have a female African-American president?

Do they even have a african american senator?
I think that there are some congressman but senator, and you speak about president,
If america truly believes in democracy that it preaches to other, they should have one , but they still do not have even woman president, and so many other countrie have them,
Does that mean the woman have no rights in high politics in USA?
But how can you have african american president when they are always in the getto, percentage of educated is low, you recognize them only as gang members, rap singers, drog dealers, only rarely they come in the normality that white people enjoying in USA,
Some said that the is some kind of culture genocide that is going on black people, they mostly die young in the streets , and mostly are active in some kind of subculture.
Why are we not seeing same population percentage in managers, economists, leadership roles, politics,
From looking outside of the US, I do not see them exposed in media as the others.
How many candidates have they had in the last decade?
None seen, how many vice president candidate were african american?None seen
I would like to see one, it would be nice change,
It seems only in the popular series "24" there is a african american president and he dies kille by the white president.

If you can get Colin Powel's wife to let him run for president then I would vote for him. A Republican ticket with Colin Powel and Condie Rice would drive the Democrats nuts and put Hilary Clinton into fits. Two blacks, and a female! Both well qualified and experienced, and one is a popular war hero! That's my dream black ticket.

Eventually we will have a black president and a female president. The Supreme Court was all white for a while and it has changed. So has Congress, so it is only a matter of time.

Probably not. Because most of the sane ones are Republicans and will never be supported by the left even in their own race. Most of the Democrats have been nut jobs like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and no one on either side wants that. The best chance would be Obama. So far I think he's done a good job.

No, I think America will have a female president before an African American. African Americans are rarely involved in politics and often get caught in scandals. Of course, many politicians are liars and cheaters regardless of race, but I lived in a city that is mostly black, and always is in the top five in violent crimes. Of course, this is what happens in black ghettos, and of course, the few who vote vote for a lesser qualified mayor because he is African American. This city has been run by African American Mayors for 12 years and is voted the "worst place to live in America" and the "worst place to raise a family in America." Not to be racist, but violent crimes always happen more in black neighborhoods, and black leaders have made things worse as far as I have seen. Anyone that thinks this is racist ignorance and not factual can research it by finding the highest crime rates in cities and compare them to percentages of races in that city and compare that to national average.

Yes , I think it will , who would have thought of Condoliza Rice ten years ago , secondly it will come a time when race won't matter that much, what will matter I think , are the politics and polices and how those reflect on people's life and the country as well, for example ,it might very well be the case that a black vice president who support the polices that against the majority of black people.

Oh yeah!! Lynn Swan (sp???) JC Watts... I can see either of those two guys being president. As for, what was it that Ted Kennedy called him that time, "Osamo Obama, Obama ben Sama..."? ((lol)) he's got about a good a chance to be president as Jesse Jackson, or Al Sharpton does. NEVER!! But seriously, those two, Lynn, and JC, they're awesome, and I think either would make great candidates!
