A wireless router ($40-60)
A wirelss card for your PC(s) or laptop(s) ($40-60 each) if not build into the laptop
2 Cat 5 network cable (if you don't have a couple) ($10-20 each)

All the major brands are basically the same. I have a D-link and a Sysgear. So go with whichever you can get the best price on. Recommend that you get the same brand for both the router and the wireless card(s) as they are easier to configure when they are the same brand.

You would hook the router to use DSL modem with the Cat5 cable. Run the software that came with the modem to set it up (You have to have the PC/laptop attach with a cable for the setup. Once the router is set up, you can go wireless)

Then run the "Wireless Network Wizard" on each PC/laptop to attach them to the network

When purchasing, you will have a choice between 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g/super g. Go with the g/super g as it is 5 times faster than b and has a longer range then a. (Think G is good when buys the stuff).

If you already have a pc (notebook or desktop) which is wireless ready then all you need to buy is a wireless router, which comes for around $50... but if you look out for deals you can get it cheaper and a patch cord to connect your router to the dsl modem (if you don't already have it). The patch cord you can get for just about 5 bucks.

If your pc is not wireless ready, then you will need to buy a usb wireless adapter that can cost from $30 to $50. Good thing about the USB wireless adapter is that you can use it on the notebook as well as on a desktop.

Hope this helps
