ear peice or reading que cards? What would he say if all of a sudden the ear peice didnt work, or the que card screen went blank? I always thought it would be funny if that happend to any president actually, none speak for themselves anyway. I thought it would be hillarious if some one STOLE the peice from the person comunicating to the president and started saying a whole bunch of funny crap. or changed the que cards, do you think BUSH would be dum enough to follow it, or any president for that matter.

perhaps you've forgotten the wonderful, moving, heartfelt speech President Bush delivered from ground zero, impromptu, standing with the firemen struggling to find survivors. President Bush helped unite the country that day with his unscripted words.

I resent the Bush slam in your post. It gets SO tiresome, it doesn't promote any positive conversation, and it's been done to death. :-(

George Bush is an excellent speaker as long as he doesn't write his own material and no questions are asked. When he writes it himself it sounds like a 3rd grade book report, you kind of know why he made the grades he did throughout school. And he isn't good on his feet and off the cuff, so questions almost always make him look bad.

But he is pretty good at knowing how to express passion and put just the right emotion into his voice when reading speeches written by speechwriters. But in the end I agree with you, without that earpiece and speechwriters to help him out, he founders very badly.

He rehearses the speeches and also participates in some of it's development. He's speech writer just helps him keep it formal, politically correct. So, he'd be able to give the speech without being coached through it, it might so simple at points, but he'd probably be able to get the message across. Every president in modern history has had a speech writer on staff.

Do you make your own decisions based on facts or do you let the left wing news make your decisions for you? The man went to two different IVY league schools and yet community college drop outs like you make fun of him. How well would you speak in front of the entire planet? His compassion and leadership is exactly what this country needed after 9/11 and people like you need to realize that left offers nothing but corruption and lies.

Nope. True that all presidents have speechwriters, etc., but at least most that I can think of in the past (ones I did and did not like) came off as rather eloquent off script.
This guy is a babbling idiot. He's rather good at showing his true colors off mike when the mike is accidentally on though, isn't he?

I think if someone took away his teleprompter he'd have exactly the same blank, dazed, deer-in-the-headlights look he had when he had just been told about the attack on the World Trade Center and he had no clue what to do.

The more I watch the man the more uncertain I am that he's even real. I'm thinking that George Lucas may have built him with the help of Disney. He looks almost lifelike.

Absolutely not. He has proven over and over again that when he tries to speak on his own he flubs it up worse than bad. He is just an old redneck and communicating to someone other than a redneck is far beyond his abilities.

Sure! He'd say "Hi Nation! How ya doin"? Well, uh, it's nap time! Gotta have a beer first! See ya!"

I think you are underestimating Mr. Bush. He is not the fool he acts like. This is one cagey dude you are talking about. The public performance you see is not who he is it is acting.
