This is actually more common that you would think, and our local Fox TV station just loves to cover that kind of thing. The woman is sick...it's called animal hoarding. THe problem is that because of all the feces and urine in the house, the animals are usually so ill that they have to be put to sleep.
Call the health department, animal control, the police...if that doesn't work, call your nearest Fox TV station....I guarantee you will get results.

Call the health department and either animal control or the SPCA. If that doesn't get the situation resolved, they aren't doing their jobs. In that case, call the newspapers.

I agree with no one. Actually, that is a strange statement. I agree with the person who calls him/herself "no one" above. Calling the humane society should help. If not, look for a local chapter of the aspca. There national website is here:
http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer
If you call them, they can give you some more suggestions.

She's old & has no children right? That is what happens to old unmarried women. My Aunt who never got married has like 7 cats and treats them like people. Weird
Call the police.

She is an animal hoarder and in most place that is illegal as it is against health and safety codes. You need to call animal control and report her. Probably the police too.

I am in a small town & they thrive on these calls , to make our town a better , healthier place to live. I would call your state aspa, something needs to be done, this is unhealthy for her, also adult protective services, they will keep you anonamous. Good luck!

Well, the city is doing nothing. Is that the same department as department of health? I figure they should be doing something about it.
