26 degrees Celsius is pretty hot, but trust me, it's been 40 here in Ontario CAN. That's nothing compared to what I've been through. Trust me, complaining about temperatures never does anything. Sooner or later, you're going to have to accept that the weather is not interchangeable. But don't worry - after enough days of that heat, your body will have adapted to the temperatures, and you won't feel much different (unless you're going back and forth between heat, and an air-conditioned home, like me). By the way, it's 4:10 p.m., but I'm not sure about the exact temperature. I'm inside my cool basement; I think the temperature here is pretty much the same as it is over there.

Hello Superstar - I remember our last encounter was a bit acrimonious - but here goes - it is bloody hot here in Cambridgeshire - don't know what the temperature is but living on ice - and I am extremely broke and since you are a superstar could you give me say 100 million pounds sterling (don't want any crappy dollars) and then I can get on with my plan !
Are you a superstar or just a D-list celebrity - from one of those chav programmes - all the best from a very humble beiterspace - if you are Madonna - I like papa don't preach and Vogue !

A cold wet flannel wrapped around nape (back) of neck, keep turning it every half hour, so it stays cold against your neck... in half an hour, your body temperature will cool dramatically. It cools the brain.
Just rinse in cold water and wring lightly, so it's still quite moist, three or four times a day, and keep it on your neck all day in this heat.

I purchased a 5,000 BTU air conditioner for my bedroom last evening because I have been unable to sleep in the heat.
I can escape to my bedroom so I have just baked a lemon cake and I have the dough rising to make a pizza.

26 degrees is only 78 F!!!
We've got it at 90 F here today and it is fairly cool!
I know you Londoners aren't used to such heat, but seriously, don't move to Florida or anywhere in the southern US... today the southwest was supposed to hit 108F!

It is a bit warm here too but my 'weekend house in the country' is 120 years old (The walls are 24 inches thick, so it stays cool all day.)
This means that the bedrooms guarantee a peaceful night sleep - honest!
