you can only do that if your cd is rewritable CD RW

CD-R means you can only burn files onto the cd once. After that, it's locked, and you can't add or remove any files.

CD-RW, however, you can write and re-write.

So depending on what type of CD you used, you may or may not be able to delete the file. If, perhaps, you were able to use a CD-RW, then to delete the file go:

My Computer--->(?) drive (where the cd is)---->find the file you want to delete--->highlite it--->right click or use the menu the left side of the window and click delete or remove.

You cannot erase a CD unless you used a CD-RW, which stands for rewritable.

short answer despite if it fairly is categorized CD-R, you may not (till you probably did an extremely particular replica approach which i'm ninety 8% valuable you probably did not do). despite if it fairly is categorized CD.RW then you definitely can erase it and start up off over. base line, sparkling disks value pennies. in simple terms pass purchase a 30 %. of them for 15 dollars at ideal purchase.

Sorry, but you can't "re-burn" a CD, unless it's a CD-RW (re-writable). You're going to have to live with it, or start with a fresh, clean CD. :/

I don't think you can "record" over the data on a CD.
