Talent and a fan base. Start making a name for yourslef, sing at local venues, county fairs, anywhere you can. If you take vocal lessons you may get connections throguh your teacher... Depends on where you are and what resources you can find there, but the big part is working hard and creating a loyal fanbase.

Do you have a rustic music association close to the place you reside? we've one in Australia and all the artists sing and play music jointly and then circulate directly to better issues from there.
