Are there any other Muslim Mary Kay Consultants out there?

I am a Muslim and also an Independent Mary Kay Consultant. I was wondering if there was anyone else in the same situation. I'd like to discuss techniques for marketing Mary Kay to other Muslim women.

I'm not Muslim, but try marketing your products in areas where Muslims go to often, such as the Indo/Pak stores, Salons, Radio, Place of Worship or other related get-togethers, etc (I realize all Muslims aren't Indian or Pakistani, but these are just examples). Also try marketing online by answering skincare questions on Muslim websites, then giving contact information as needed for people to order products from you (in this case you could refer them to your personal Mary Kay website if you have one - I know MaryKay.com has this option). Have business cards, catalogs, and samples handy wherever you go... Hope this helps!

No, but for some reason, Mary Kay does not seem to market well to women of color. I'm only a consultant now to get a personal discount, and order stuff at wholessale for my family and friends who do use some of the products. I think it has something to do with the fact that they were so white and so pink-Caddillac-ish for so long, it's hard for women of color to see that MK might have something for them without them being convinced of it. Plus, even though I sold it, I REALLY hate their lip colors and texture. I only wear one color and even then, I MUST have a gloss over it, or it looks terrible.
