That sounds exactly like what happens when I get a yeast infection. The monistat burns like a son of a gun, but it is necessary to solve the problem. You also must get off of the antibiotics in order for it to resolve itself. Try lying on your back and putting cold packs or cold washclothes on your private area, that should bring relief.

Using antibiotics causes yeast infections. You'll have to wait until you're done with them before it'll quit.
Until then, buy some witch hazel at the drug store or walmart or grocery store. Soak a wash cloth in it and press it on the itchy parts. It'll help relieve the symptoms.
Another person said wear cotton panties and that's right. They are airy and don't let you get sweaty down there.
Desitin or other diaper rash ointment would be uncomfortable to walk around with during the day. Try using it at night so you can sleep.
I've never tried it, but you could take a panty liner or pad and soak it with witch hazel and wear that around. It might help out during the day.
If none of these suggestions help, then go with your first answer and go to your gyn.

Oddly enough, Desitin or A&D diaper rash cream will work. It will stop the itching and won't burn like the female creams. it is probably not a yeast infection because there are no visible indications. I'm not sure why it happens, but every once in a while after shaving down there things get irritated. Changing shaving lotions or the simplest little thing can cause it to happen. Best of luck.

The same thing happened to me. The bacteria from an old razor sounds pretty close, but, when I was all raw and chapped it was from sex and saliva... not shaving. There's this cream you can buy at the store just for raw and sore and dryness down there. It stings a little at first, then it feels really good. I can't remember the name of it (my husband hid it from my two year old and I can't find it). It's pink and you can buy it at walmart or anywhere just about. It's NOT monistat, just a cream.

You may simply have very irritated skin. I wouldn't doubt it. I shave as well, and have noted on occation, my skin will be extra sensitive. try soaking in a tub of cool water and then applying baby oil to moisten the irritated area. Quit scratching! You no that will only inflame things........ Good luck. If this doesn't resolve in a few days, see an MD.

My girlfriend shaves the growth too. It will get better. Try taking a warm bath with something soothing and/or healing. Maybe something like that could help. I don't know what else to suggest, I am a stick figure.

The only thing i can think of is maybe at first your skin was irritated from shaving and antibiotic and even maybe your period too and since you been scratching it maybe you may have cut it evn though you cant see it and even maybe irritatated it even more. My suggestion go see a obgyn and pick a girl doctor they understand more.

sounds like your vaginal lips are chafing because of the irritation -- eventhough the hair is long enough not to irritate it --
also it's probably not going away because it rubs against the fabric or other material. try wearing a skirt for a while, and wear cotton underwear.
i do suggest that you go to a gynecologist so that she can prescribe you some medications.

i love shaving my bottom bald since pubic hair makes me so sick! well, what i think is that it got irritated when u shaved them due to the product that u were using and maybe it kind of scratched and damaged the skin around the lips because vagina is so sensitive so the best i suggest is to wear a 100% cotton pantie and make sure u wear lose pants (no jeans) for a few days then i believe the itchness will go away! best wishes!

Possible infection? Also you could have a cyst...it hurts bad for me to have sex when i have a cyst, plus the hormones produced when you have a cyst.. can sometimes cause you to not make as much lube. I get ovarian cysts alot and this sounds like what i go through.
