Well.....guns in the wrong hands, even those of "law-abiding citizens", can cause havoc. Just because it appears someone is a law-abiding citizen doesn't mean they won't shoot someone given the chance.

I also am a democrat and I live in Chicago where in some areas you can't walk down the street without the fear of being shot at . Why don't you keep a breast of the news where even good freinds get carried away with silly arguements and 1 puts a gun.Or doesn't like the way someone looks . To much hate and readilly available guns . Little kids getting killed because people keep guns in their homes for protection from what because we haven't
outlawed people from owning them.

There is no problem with law-abiding ones, the problem is that the ones who don't abide the law are the ones getting the guns. Gun control is an attempt (albeit a failed one) to keep guns away from those who don't.

There is no problem , the prolem lies with the people that have no grasp on reality that want to take away the guns , but one day something awful will happen (lets hope not) and they will have to stand idely by while someone robs , rapes or murders someone they care about and all they can say is "well im glad i helped outlaw guns , i might have hurt that poor criminal if i had owned one" Like its been said time and time again , If guns killed people then it was spoons that made michael moore fat and cars made ted kennedy kill women

There is not problem. And contrary to what most people think, the 2nd amendment wasn't put in the Constitution so people could go hunting.
An armed citizenry is the final check on a government that no longer represents it's people. Makes you wonder it all the gun control laws are really about public safety.

There's no problem at all with owning guns. The problems come in when:
1) the owners leave the guns laying around for a kid to find, or a theif to steal and use in a violent crime later.
2) the owners don't bother to train how to use the gun, or properly care for it. When the time comes to actually use it, they end up shooting themselves, or innocent loved ones, or passers-by.
3) People who shouldn't have guns due to their mental state get them due to lax gun laws, and ultimately making the worst decision of their lives in a heated moment costing someone (or themselves) a life.

The 2nd amendment gives us specific instructions that we have the right to bare arms.
This is to stop an offensive government not go duck hunting.
So in the 18th century a musket was a formidable weapon. It would take an armed Predator droon to equal that firepower in the 21st century.
I say Nutron bombs for everyone. Equal protection. If the Government has smart bombs then the citizens need them also.

Nothing, but when you use that gun on someone you are no longer a law abiding citizen.

Nothing, we should be focusing on what causes people to murder people and try and change that. Rather than doing it the hard way and changing the Constitution. Besides if we went all the way to making them illegal then it will be the same as drugs being illegal. Making yet another reason for organized crime which in the end would kill a lot more people.

Ok. There isn't anything wrong with someone owning a gun until they do harm with it.
Here is the problem with that. Even if you were to ban guns or whatever the bad guy is still going to get one somehow. It's like drugs. They are illegal but does that stop the people who use them?
