Well, it really always depends on the reason he's not taking you. If it's because he doesn't "feel like it", there's not much you can do. You can't FORCE him to take you anywhere; that would be plain mean. But does he never take you anywhere? If he doesn't, he isn't showing care for making you happy. If he takes you to plenty of places, don't get mad. Look at his point of view. Maybe you should try doing something for HIM. Have you taken him anywhere lately, or has he been the only person doing anything for the "fun" in the relationship. I say, if it's because he's lazy, do something nice for the two of you, and make him WANT to take you. Make yourself deserving of going to the movies. Or why not even buy for you and your boyfriend this time? Hopefully, you'll see what I'm getting at, because I can't drone on about it.

There are two things that signal the end of a relationship.
The first is when the man says, "I have never loved and I am boarding a plane so that I can be in a different time-zone than you!!!"
The second is when a man says, "I won't take you to the movies tonight."
But, I could be over-reacting.

It depends on why he won't take you out. If you and your boyfriend don't often go places, and he just doesn't want to go because he's lazy, then yes, you have a right to be angry. But if you and your boyfriend DO often go out, perhaps you shouldn't be angry with him. Think of this as an opportunity to spend time alone with your boyfriend at home, where you are most comfortable. Staying in isn't always a bad thing!

Maybe you should just sit down with him-with no TV and very soft music, and just visit with him. Don't be mad at him. If he wanted to go and you didn't, would you want him to be mad at you?
Ask him what HE would like to do? (and if he is only your boyfriend, tell him "no, not that, what ELSE do you want to do?")
Play cards, or just talk to each other. You might get to know each other. I bet you don't now, cause you don't even know why he won't take you to the movies.
Is he broke? Is he sick? Is he grounded? He is just supposed to be your boyfriend...not your slave.

depends on why he wont' or if you initially had plans. i would be upset if we had the plans set for tonight, but i was backing out for any other reason than he is sick, or got stuck at work i'd be mad. when i make plans i stick to them. the only exception for me would be if he used us going to the movies as a cover and had something even better planned i'd be ecstatic. so you never know you might get something better than a movie tonight.

You give very little info. If his not taking you to the movies is enough to make you mad, it doesn't take much to get you mad, does it? It's not always all about you.

Of course you should. When you want something later you can always bring that up as, "remember that time when i really wanted to go to the movies and you would not take me?"

No maybe he has other plans or just can't afford to go or even simply too tired. I always take my girlfriend to the movies if she wants to go but she is very busy and we can only go occasionally
