No, I don't think myspace is stupid. It can be great entertainment, catching up with friends, making new ones, good music, and plenty of games. However, it can be addicting and if you're not careful you could end up wasting precious hours doing nothing but refreshing to see if someone sent you a new comment, pic comment, message, etc.

People are so quick to judge when they do not know or don't care what someone's intentions are for having a my space account. It can be anything from wanting to meet new people, entertainment, a past time, etc.etc., and besides, it really varies from person to person what is considerd a "waste of time".
I feel it's a waist of time if you should be doing "other" things like working, studying, taking care of your family, etc. and have become so consumed that you are forgetting about your more important priorities and obligations, so as a result, things in your life are suffering.Then in that scenario, um..yeh (duh), I do think it is a waste of time.
Otherwise, who gives a hoot what people say or think. Someone is always going to bash something internet related as a waste of time. The next thing you know, someone will be saying Yahoo Answers is a waste of time, if it hasn't been said already..and you know what I'll be thinking about that..

So far myspace has helped greatly in getting out my artist. Plus it's a great source for networking. So myspace ISN'T stupid in my opinion.
Unless you're one of the many STUPID people on there that add friends like its a damn popularity contest.

I thought so for awhile, but I'm getting into it. I made my page look pretty :) I'm able to see my friends who live far away through their pics and we stay in touch through the Comment board. I also met a few new friends through MySpace and hooked up with some old friends from high school that I haven't spoke to in four years. I like it...just don't get too addicted. It can have that effect on you :)

I think this has revolutionized myspace.
Other than 40 year old man touching themselves being involved with it, there is a whole bunch of women showing their bodies.
I dont want myspace to become something people will be attracted to, for the next decade.

I love my space! If you have no reason to be on it, then you have no business on it. My family and friends keep tabs on eachother through my space from the west coast to the east coast. We leave each other comments and IM each other and we get to see into each others lives and thoughts and share pictures.......etc. It's great!
BTW,
It doesn't take anymore time to be on My Space than it does to be on Yahoo Answers. And there is no way for people to see get your personal information unless you put it out for someone to view.

Anything in excess can be a waste of time. But if you're just into it for the fun of it? I don't see any harm in it. Things only get to be a waste of time when people start to take themselves too seriously.

I don't think it's stupid or a waist of time. I think that it's very useful why don't you think that a lot of people have accounts with my space? I don't though. Rappers, singers and groups get theirs on there and put their music on there.
