How would you feel if the government decided that no man could be circumcised or that all men should be sterilized? Or what if the women of the world got together to ban Viagra? It is hard for a man to understand just how vulnerable women feel in the face of pregnancy.
When you are a woman you live with the reality that you can become pregnant against your will. No matter how you feel about the morality of abortion, you understand that the ability to become pregnant is a double edged sword. It is great if you want to have a child. It is terrifying if you have other plans. There is no good analogy to a man's world. A man does not have to live with a baby inside him for nine months and endure nausea, vomiting, hair loss, hormone overload, kicking, a squashed bladder, loss of mobility, contractions, and the birth process. A man does not have to worry that having a child may endanger his life. A man does not have to worry that having a child will cause him to lose his job. A man does not have to care for the child day and night for at least 20 years.
So get a reality check. Men don't get a vote because men can't have babies. And in my opinion, the only people who have any say in the complex issue of carrying a child and bringing it into this world are the mother and her doctor. Everybody else, get your own life.

Yes and I totally agree. A similar question was asked and I was told woman's body = woman's right. When I tried to point out that it takes the genetic code from a man (X &Y chromosomes) to produce a male or female baby - I was informed that through the miracle of science that the man's code was no longer needed to create a baby. That may be true but you will only be able to produce female (XX) babies. The point that I tried to make but it was ignored (because it totally diffused the arguement) was that the man's sperm provided 1/2 of the genetic that helped create the baby. Therefore the man has 1/2 the rights to that child and should be involved in the decision to raise or kill the child. The femine Nazi didn't like that.

Acornfullfilled - has hit it on the head.
You are entitled to your opinion and no one can take that away from you but you have asked this question a number of times and the majority of answers come back the same. Live your life the way you want and let others live theirs. Why do you feel the need to have every one see things only your way? One day you will find common ground.

What disturbs me most about pro-choicers is that they always say "it's the woman's body". Well, yes and no. There are 2 bodies, the woman's and the child's. The child may be attached to your body, but it is a seperate and unique entity, DNA can prove that easily. I agree you can do what you want with your own body, but how do you justify doing something (killing) to your child's body?
I think the only thing that disturbs me more, is that doctors supposedly take an oath to "first, do no harm". Abortion doctors have serious mental issues to rationalize that.

well it really isnt your choice, the christian fundamentalists have a tendency to punish the woman in all cases where you, the man, would get off scott-free if you got a woman pregnant. at least the pro-choicers (like myself) stick to one story. you on the other hand, seem to see fit to proclaim yourself god and determine whos baby was concieved in love or lust (and therefore cannot be aborted under any circumstance) or in rape or incest (which gives them a little wiggle room). if a life is a life is a life, then shouldnt any fetus concieved be entitled to all the same rights that you and i are? then why is it that in cases of rape and incest that YOU are willing to completely reverse your story? and what the death penalty? you see fit to kill people for the first thing they do wrong just for revenge. if what you try to promote is a "culture of life" then get rid of all operations of what you see is murder, be it abortion, the death penalty, or gun sales. its only the christian thing to do.

Fems like men who are pro-choice because we might believe abortion is wrong but we also believe it's not our buisness to interfere in the decision of a woman.

Sounds like your ego gets so far in the way that you can't hold a real conversation. I'd guess that your co-conversationalists are picking up on the prejudice and attitude. Sorry, bro -- you're on your own for this one.
