pastime:not watching soccer". Jimmy Kimmel.

I just saw this quote in the latest edition of TIME.(Canadian edition/July,24,2006

What do you make of this quote? Well I don't know who Kimmel is but I'm 101% sure he is America.

The World Cup is intriguing to watch, but I just absolutely HATE all the diving that the rest of the world do. You won't see American World Cup players fake an injury coz that's such a wussie move.

As for the quote, Jimmy is just trying to be funny. World Cup isn't bad to watch. And it only comes every 4 years, in what, less than 2 months at a time.

whats up kwame? as you have heard by now, Jimmy Kimmel is a late night comedy tv show host. He meant it as a joke obviously, but for the US it is sad but true. Most people from here only watch soccer during the world cup. this is unfourtantate as they are missin out on the worlds greatest game. they dont have too much to see though, becuase the MLS is not great and we cannot see that many Premership games here.

What a ridiculous thing to write is he saying nobody watches Football unless it`s the World Cup, well I for one can`t wait for Football to start again, jimmy kimmel is a american talk show host & a comedian, that explain`s it & if that`s one of his joke`s tell him not to give up his day job.

First, Kimmel is a late-night comedian, so it's not a literal statement.

Second, I wish more people in the US were as obsessed with the world cup as the rest of the world. I personally love it, but it would be more fun with a more exciting atmosphere.

This is the second world cup I've seen, (I'm 16) and I loved it. It was exciting, suspenseful, and I couldn't get enough. I wish I would've been at every match and that I would've been there to celebrate when the Italians won the cup, but I was celebrating at home like crazy and I'm not even Italian, I'm Mexican. I wish the cup would be every year, but then it wouldn't be as special, it's like the Olympics.

He's a talk show host. And that quote really reflects the Americans' attitude towards soccer.

kimmel is definitely 100% american so im not surprised he said something as stupid and ignorant as he did...considering his favorite passtime is watching girls in bikinis jump on trampolines which throwing midgets across a room, i dont expect him to enjoy soccer. but its rude to say that because there are people in the united states that love soccer more than any other sport.

kimmel has a dumb show that talks about fat american football

MVPRAMS-- hockey players and football players are in ten times better shape the american football players hockey players are the toughest players in the world. american football has a whistle like every 3 seconds and a tv time out like every 2 Min's its a lazy game just like baseball with no defence and like basketball no defence.
