Wow! Those were all so great...you guys rock! but Gennie...I'm now leaning towards yours because before 9 a.m. it was gettin' so hot working in my yard that I put my head under the sprinkler hose!!

It's summer, SmileyCat,
What a time for fun,
Walking the dog,
Or going for a run.

It feels so good,
Summer at last,
I'm not touching another text-book,
'Till this season's past!!!

But oh how I love,
These feelings so free,
Like that little brown bird,
Up in her big tree.

Or, I think,
With a smile on my face,
I'll climb like a squirrel,
And give that bird chase!

But against it I decide,
I think I'd rather not,
I'll stay under a sprinkler,
Where it's not so hot!

you love chasing my pet bird and squirrel up a tree
until I heard a thump noise I turned to look and see
and saw my poor pets laying on the grass. Touching them tenderly I ran over to them though the hot water sprinkler. Tears wailing up into my eyes I stop and realize I now have a new smiley cat smiley cat for a pet.

that is really really stupid and came off the top of my head ...i just want some points.

Smiley Cat's feelings are somewhat absurd.
She tends to get hot when seeing a bird.

It's not really love as it sits in a tree,
But a touching, squirrely feeling, you see.

She must run through sprinklers to cool down a while.
Then she sits, thinks of birds, and just starts to smile.
