It will normally paste into your document or email as a link; there's usually nothing special you have to do. Just highlight the URL, press CTRL+C to copy, put your cursor where you want the link to appear, press CTRL+V to paste and the text of the URL will appear as a link in most programs.

A hot link can be created by pasting the URL into a word document or similar program which will automaticlaly make the address clickable. When you paste an entire URL into a post here on Yahoo, it is automatically turned into a hot link.
However, if you need to, you can create your own hot link for Browsers by using the code, like this.
Start with the angle brackets....these: "<" and ">"
The code goes between them.
Click these words

If I understood it correctly, you are trying to paste a URL into a folder(which is not possible that's why the paste function is not available). What you need to do is: 1. Open a text editor, "Notepad" for instance 2. Copy the URL from the address bar (Ctrl + C) 3. Paste the copied URL (Ctrl + V) 4. Save the file (Ctrl + S) into whatever folder you want it to. Hope that solves your problem.

It needs to be in html or java or something. You need to put the code on it, if the place you are pasting is isn't set up for it. If you are putting it on a document, highlight the URL and right click. In the box, there is a choice that says Hyperlink. Click it and follow the instructions. You can make it unclickable also, by doing this.

it should do it automaticly, if your pasting it into email, or any other place on the web. if your using a rich text editor (the toolbar that allows you to change the color, font, and sometimes has smilies), click the hyperlink button to set it up to make it go to the URL that you copied.
