Breakdown, starring Kurt Russell, is one of my favorite action movies, though it may be considered suspense more than action. There is plenty of action in the second half and I highly recommend it.

Another movie I liked that had plenty of action is Braveheart, though it may also not be considered a pure action movie.

Nothing provokes action like when a Dad's lil girl is taken by a bunch of symbol worshippers who misuse the mark. My lil girl and I watch "Commando" all the time, and she even tells me when Aronold (Matrix) is Freaking out...(Fweekin out)
My lil girl is a smart one, and even wondered how he knew he wasnt blowing up the building that Matrix's lil girl was being held in. But a Dad just knows these things...when asked what they were expecting...he replies WW3... )o(

I have to agree that Die Hard has to be the best action film. It's funny to think that Richard Gere was in line to play John McClain. Good thing it didn't happen that way. Yipee kiyeah motherf@cker. Wow, Yahoo answers didn't censor that. I did.

XXX, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2, The Fast and the Furious (all 3 of them), Matrix (all 3 of them), Mission Imposible (all 3 of them), X-Men (all 3 of them), can't remember anymore. Strange most of them have 3 parts.
