ok i have multiple errors..when i try to download msn messnger i get error "1607" and when i try to download java the new version i get error "1707"

Check the Microsoft site, as they have an update to the Windows Installer. As both sound install problems that might resolve them.

Go here http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp and it will tell you if Java was installed succesfully. If not then go here http://jdl.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com to download it.
