Make sure that the lines on the top and bottom of your eyelids do not meet at the corners on the outer edge. This makes your eyes look smaller when you do. Also starting at the corner on the upper lid, start thin and as you work your way to the outter corner of the upper lid, get a little wider & at the very edge kind of turn up the line a bit for a "cat like" look. It's classic. On the bottom lid just very lightly do the line, not too heavy or thick.

Buy an angled liner brush (they usually have short white bristles). Buy an eyeshadow in the color that you want your liner. Get the brush wet, wipe off the excess water, and stick eyeshadow on it. use this to mash the liner right along the lash line. You can use feathery strokes or just make it a nice straight line. If you want to smudge it, use a qtip.
You can use the same technique on lower lashes.
Very Important: when lining lower lashes, the liner should be UNDER your lashes, not on the little shelf between your lashes and eyeball. This will cause the liner to get into your eye. It wont bother you now, but will cause serious eye problems later.

I have a terrible, shaky pulse, and I get nervous that I'll mess up while applying liquid liner (and of course I d); but you know, for beauty's sake, you have to be resourceful *lol. I found THE greatest trick
First do your line with your pencil eyeliner, it's much easier to manipulate and smudge to correct any errors, THEN just retrace the pencil line with your liquid liner, that way, you already have the "path" to follow. and it's much less pressure than starting from zero.
Believe me, this trick works!!!

tilt your head up a little bit and squint your eye and pull the side of the eye. Start eyelining slowly..try to outline your eye liner from the inside corner of your eye to the other side. As for new techniques you can line your bottom eye as well. Try lining your bottom eye from the outer corner to just to the middle of the eye. This will make your eyes look bigger!! Good LuCk

I pull my skin to the side a little there to make it tighter and smoother. I only apply it just beyond my lid in a tapered manner and to the middle of my eyelid. I follow with shadow mainly focused in that area and mascara also mainly focused there. This gives the illusion of larger eyes and keeps one from looking as tired. It is slimming to the overall face.

well, I know you like you liquid eyeliner, but try a pencil, you may find its easier to control. I just got a new pencil, its an eyeliner duet. One side is black and the other is like a bronze/gold color, I really like it alot, I but the bronze under my eye, and take it all the way to under my tearduct (nicol richie does this) then I do the black on the top lid, just where the lid meets your eyelashes, there is like a ridge, I put it right there, and bring it out just a smidge on the outside, giving my eyes a cat eye look, I really like it alot! Then I do a dark brown mascara, brown and neutral color on my lid....for a little pop, I put green eyeliner on the inside bottom lid, my eyes are green.....I really like the look....when you look at me my eyes say......HELLO! my husband really likes it too...

Apply only to your top lid and just dot the liner between your eyelashes. It makes your lash line a lot thicker and it brings out your eyes. But it is cool because people can hardly tell that you have it on! =)
