The war on terror will never end as long as people are willing to fight for their own belief systems whether we agree with them or not.

I think people would have caught the satire you were going for if you had slowed down to puncuate. I had to read it through a few times to understand what you were saying also. To say that we conquered WWII is historically unfair, we certainly made a difference, but we and our allies lost many brave men. I'm pretty sure that the terrorists were never afraid of the "war on terror" because even they knew it wasn't about them. It might as well have been called "the war to make my stock in the oil company worth more". What they should be afraid of, however, is the fact that Israel is no longer sitting by and reacting to attacks. The Moussad is nobody to screw around with, and every terrorist group in the world knows it.

I detect a note of sarcasm in your question so I'll spare you the "are you kidding me?" reply. But I will say this WWII was a completely different war and we'll never see another like it ever. A lot of people don't realize it, but even WWII had a large amount of people wondering why we were fighting in it. The comparison of Iraq and WWII isn't fair, accurate, or even possible. WWII was a war in which you could clearly see the enemy. In Iraq the enemy has no uniform to identify itself, the culture of the Middle East is vastly different than the Western way of thinking.

Personally, I think the terrorists are probably shaking due to laughter.
And I'm an American. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with what the terrorists have done. My office was in the twin towers until the fall of 2001. I just don't agree that Bush is "kicking butt" and definitely don't agree that the terrorists are "shaking in thier (sic) boots"

Hey your ignorance is showing! This isn't the same kind of way (President Bush said that had you been listening) This is a war against cowards who hide among civilian populations. They strap bombs to babies and set them off in market places. They have to ferreted out almost one by one. It takes time but I'm sure you would be much more comfortable just sitting back and waiting for the next attack on the United States.

First of all the us didn't win world war 2 contrary to what you all think .the allied forces did of which the US was a member .
second if anyone thinks they can beat these terrorist ,they have another think coming .you can't beat what you can't find. as long as we keep buying oil from the middle east .We will keep supplying them with money to build or buy weapons .I say just stay out of there all together ,let them shoot at each other till there harts content .they will either annihilate them selves or lay down there weapons and shake hands. That's just the way they are.

BUSH is not kicking any butt... he's sitting in the white house twiddling his thumbs. If you're so pro-war at least give the credit where it's due to the soldiers... However they're not doing a hell of a lot besides make rap albums either because of such poor leadership...

Well, military tactics are evolving. We are now leaving the 4th generation of warfare (i.e. ww2 and Gulf war) and entering a new kind of warfare(i.e. Vietnam Conflict and current Iraq). America is not used to fighting guerilla combatants so this war will take much longer for us to win.

Yes...I truly believe Bush is doing a great job - and I didn't even vote for him - I was a Kerry supporter. I don't consider myself a Democrat or Republican
I think this world has had some serious problems...and i think for the first time we were somewhat immune from attacks - but not anymore.
